The Misery of Prison life coupled with the Pain of separation from her children, makes Asma Ansari’s survival more Painful. Her assault was emotionally geared as husband was involved in an extra-marital affair. She tried to talk to the other women and convince her to end the relationship but bluntly refused. Frustrated, Asma Ansari’s resorted to violence. Due to which she got Arrested under Section 307 of the IPC in June 2017, She continues to live in distress behind bars at Adharwaddi, Kalyan Jail.
Hope still remains in the hearts of Kulsum (7) and Shahid (5) as they await their mother to return home. After proper verification we consider her poor financial condition, health (HIV+) & the pitiable, neglected state of her kids, etc.
